Move with WASD, Arrow Keys or D-Pad
Pause with 'space / A' while playing
Mute music with 'm'
Mute SFX with 'n'

This is my first project using Godot - it is a simple top-down shooter with a few different enemies and power-ups/pick-ups.

Most everything is score based: fire rate, enemy spawns, and pickups, difficulty exponentially increases over time.

Enemies:
Green: Simplest enemy, moves downward vertically
Yellow: Moves downward vertically as well as horizontally
Purple: Moves side-to-side, downward vertically, and fires a wobbly projectile
Red: moves side-to-side at the top of the screen and fires fast moving projectiles

Pickups:
Blue:       Extra score
Yellow:  Large projectile which kills many enemies
Green:  Temporary shield (use it aggressively!)


Credit to HeartBeast for a great tutorial series on setting up a game like this in Godot4 which served as the base for this project
